NO MEETING IN DECEMBER – Christmas break.

WEDNESDAY 11 January 2012 – Talk by Michael Walker, Garden and Estates Manager at TRENTHAM GARDENS on the latest in these famous gardens. We’re very fortunate that Michael can come and give us a talk – he was our guide on the group visit to Trentham a couple of years ago, and is very entertaining and knowledgeable – he has a great interest in gardening organically, and is developing this on the Trentham estate.

WEDNESDAY 8 February – Talk by Andrew Henderson of RIJK ZWAAN ORGANIC SEEDS – Andrew has 33 years experience in horticulture, with the last 21 years working for Rijk Zwaan, a Dutch organic vegetable seed company. He’ll be talking about getting the best results from sowing seed, pest and disease resistance, organic methods versus conventional … come and bring your questions for him !

WEDNESDAY 14 March – Talk by long-standing member WENDY BIRKS who has enormous success with her vegetable and soft fruit plots – again, an opportunity for questions, and advice from a very experienced organic gardener.

NO MEETING IN APRIL – Easter break.
